Our Story
Stridden was created with a clear focus: to provide specialist recruitment support across construction and housing in both the private and social sectors, groundworks, fitouts, civil engineering, and infrastructure.
Rather than trying to cover every industry, we have chosen to stay in the market we know best. Construction is in our bones, and that knowledge shapes the way we work with both employers and candidates.
Director Profiles
Claire has spent 25 years in construction, beginning with a Groundworks and Civils Contractor before moving into Plant Hire Management and later into recruitment. With 19 years in recruitment and 12 years as co-founder and Director of Venture Contracts, Claire brings deep sector knowledge, practical experience, and a clear understanding of what both clients and candidates need.
Andy Emery has worked in the construction sector since 1987 and has been a company director for 29 years. He has been Managing Director of Euro Building & Maintenance for the past 12 years, bringing strong operational, commercial, and leadership experience to Stridden’s team.
His background adds further depth to Stridden’s understanding of how construction businesses operate and what clients need from a recruitment partner.
